Fort Atkinson Preschool and Childcare is proud to partner with the Fort Atkinson School District to offer three sessions of school district sponsored 4K. 2023-2024 is already in session and enrollment for 2024-2025 will open on January 15,2024.
Children who turn 4 on or before September 1, 2024 are eligible for 4K in fall of 2024. School district sponsored 4K is a free program available either 4 mornings or 4 afternoons a week for 3 hours each day. Through a play-based curriculum 4K teaches children the skills they need to be successful in kindergarten. Enrollment in 4K can be completed by going to the Fort Atkinson School District webpage at www.fortschools.org/4K.
Fort Atkinson Preschool and Childcare also offers wraparound care for 4K families. Wrap around care is a fee-based parallel learning opportunity for families who need care outside of 4K hours and is offered in our 4 year old preschool room. This program is taught by Bachelor’s prepared licensed teachers using Creative Curriculum. This program is available between 6:30 am-5:30 pm Monday-Friday on the center calendar. The classroom is presently full for fall of 2023 but we are adding children to wait lists. Interested families must first tour the center. Limited spaces are available and the class is typically full by mid-February for the following year.
The cost for wraparound care is $123 for three days/week (your choice Monday-Thursday), $164 for four days/week (Monday-Thursday) or $205 for five days/week (Monday-Friday). There is a $100 non refundable enrollment fee. The cost covers all of the care outside of 4K between 6:30 am and 5:30 pm Monday-Friday on the center (not school district) calendar. All care is contracted care and two weeks notice is required to change your schedule or withdraw from the program. Enrollment for wraparound care is done through the center, please call or email if you are interested.
