Fort Atkinson Preschool and Childcare is licensed by Wisconsin Department of Children and Families and as such are required to follow licensing laws pertaining to hiring of staff. In addition, as a Five Star and Accredited center, we are held to higher standards for staffing then licensing laws require.
All staff must have current first aid/CPR, a negative TB test, be able to pass state and federal background checks, have a certificate in Abusive Head Trauma Prevention and training in child abuse and neglect/mandatory reporting in addition to the coursework/education required for his/her position.
